Born: September 3, 1931 Died: April 22, 2010 Interment: Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, KY Richard Harry Still, Jr. DO, age 78 formerly of Kirksville, MO died April 22, 2010, at his home in Stanford, KY. He is survived by his wife, Roberta Shreffler Still, a Son, Boaz Alexander Still, Los Angeles, CA, daughter and son-in-law, Ann Taylor Still-Smith, John David Smith and step-granddaughter, Tamson Renee, Danville, KY. Richard was born in Kirksville, MO, the late Richard Harry, Sr. DO and Frances Hamilton Still, and raised in Macon, MO. He graduated from Macon High School; attended Westminster College in Fulton, MO and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN before graduating from Kirksville College of Osteopathy and Surgery in 1958. He interned at Laughlin Osteopathic Hospital from 1958 to 1959 and then joined the staff where he later became part owner; living his adult life in Kirksville as an Osteopathic Physician. Dr. Still served as a general practitioner until 1978 when he then devoted his life's work to Osteopathic Manipulation until his retirement in 2005. Osteopathic Manipulation was his passion. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kirksville, MO, a Life Loyal Sig of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and a life member of the NRA. He was recognized by the State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts for more than forty years of service as a Missouri Physician. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 24, 2 pm at the Bellevue Cemetery, Danville, KY with Chuck Vernon officiating.
