Brenda Gayle Darland, age 67, Harrodsburg, wife of Marshall William Darland, died Friday, May 21, 2010 after an illness.
Born December 29, 1942 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of Leola Day Combs and the late Fred Marian Combs. She was a retired registered nurse and a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ, where she actively worked with the Quest Youth
Group. Other survivors include: a daughter: Marti Iacono of Danville, and three sons: Lee (Joyce) Darland, Dean Darland, Alan (Trish) Darland all of Harrodsburg, one sister: Freida Howard of Harrodsburg, and one brother: Keith Combs of Salvisa, seven grandsons: Stephen Darland, Matthew Estes, Jeffrey Darland, Jonathan Darland, Tyler Estes, Landon Darland, Peyton Darland. She was predeceased by a son: Gene Lance Darland.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 25 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Kesel, with burial in the Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa.
Pallbearers are: Scott and Chad Howard, Daulton Hendren, Thomas Robinson, Larry Peyton, and David Cinnamon. Honorary bearers: Jim Perkins, Arnold Eldridge, Jim Dunn and Grandsons.
Visitation will be Monday, May 24 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
