Obituary of Lizzie Lee Vandiver

Lizzie Lee Jenkins Vandiver, age 84, Harrodsburg, widow of James H. Vandiver, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born October 15, 1925 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Haddie Elizabeth Jenkins. She was a retired seamstress from Cricketeer and Interpreter at Shakertown, she was also a member of the Dry Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters: Judy Griffin, Betty (Donnie) Releford and one son: James Lee "Punkin" (Karen) Vandiver all of Harrodsburg; two sisters: Emily Patterson and Lucy Voohries also of Harrodsburg; and a brother: Leonard Jenkins of Florence, KY; Five Grandchildren; Seven Great Grandchidren.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, June 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Donnie Releford. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Bradley Vandiver, Bobby Vandiver, Lee Releford, Dana Boliard, Bryan Boliard, Andrew Griffin, Austin Griffin and Brett Lanham. Honorary Bearers will be the Great Grandchildren, Men of Dry Branch Baptist and Carl VanArsdall.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 3 from 6-8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to American Cancer Society, Diabetes Association. or the Dry Branch Baptist Church.
