Obituary of Elizabeth Jackson Trisler

Elizabeth Jackson Trisler, age 93, Harrodsburg, widow of John C Trisler, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born August 26, 1916 in Laurel County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Riley Jackson and Nannie (Parmon) Jackson Markel. Elizabeth was raised by her foster parents, Owen and Jane Davenport. She was a legal secretary for Dean-Dean & Dean Law Office and was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church for 70 years, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. She was also former director of Mercer Co. Red Cross. Survivors include: two sons, John D.(Kay) Trisler and Larry (Mary Frances) Trisler, both of Mercer County, KY; four sisters, Ada Ashton, Iva Swinford, Thelma Trail and Roberta Fletcher all of OH; and two brothers, Robert Markel of OH and John Markel of Harrodsburg, KY; Four Grandchildren, Steve (Toni) Trisler, Amy (Tim) Adkins, Chad Trisler and Lori (Tim) Wells; four Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Trisler, Kaysie Adkins, Deacon Wells and Ella Adkins. She was predeceased by three brothers; William Jackson, Jasper Jackson, Max Markel, and one sister Edith Ison. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Friday, July 2 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Wayne Spivey and Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Steve Trisler, Chad Trisler, Tim Adkins, Tim Wells, Jonathan Trisler and Lee Dean. Visitation will be Thursday, July 1 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to: Salvisa Baptist Church building fund Harrodsburg Baptist Church Beyond Measure Harrodsburg Baptist Foundation.
