Obituary of Nettie Roney Wilson

Nettie Roney Wilson, 102 of Harrodsburg KY passed away Tuesday, March 15 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington KY. She was the widow of Hubert “Slim” Wilson. Nettie celebrated life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family of five generations and many friends. She loved telling stories and sharing her jokes. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, horse racing and gardening. Nettie was born in Nevada KY on October 7th, 1908 to the late Charlie and Annie Roney. In addition to her husband and parents, Nettie was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. She also was preceded in death by three children, Margaret Prewitt, Genie Prewitt and Johnny Prewitt. Survivors include her daughter in law Carolyn Prewitt, three granddaughters Ann Prewitt, Nancy McGeorge and Kathy Garrison, three great grandchildren, Melissa (Jeremy) Pawley, Ryan McGeorge and Matthew Garrison, and two great-great grandchildren Jackson and Sawyer Pawley. Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Friday, March 18 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg, KY followed by the funeral service at 7 pm with Johnny Adamson officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Pawley, David Carter and Great grandchildren Melissa, Ryan and Matthew.
