Jessie Brown Dorsey, age 101, widow Hiram Stirling Dorsey, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born December 30, 1909 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Rodman and Lida Alberta Riester Brown. She was a retired Vanderbilt University Eye Clinic administrative assistant and a member of Hillwood Presbyterian Church, Nashville.
Survivors include: two daughters, Nancy (Bill) Lively of Burgin, KY, and Linda (Bill) Gaw of Nashville, TN; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Hugh S. Dorsey.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 30 at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery by Jackie Lindberg and Jordan Zanetis Burial will be in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery, Jeffersonville.
Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
