C. W. Green, age 83, Burgin, husband of Mayme Corman Green, died Friday, July 1, 2011, Lexington, KY.
Born September 5, 1927 in Burgin, KY, he was the son of the late Earnest and Dixie Mae Warren Green. He served during World War II in the U. S. Air Force. He owned and operated Green's Service Station and Bait Shop for many years. C. W. was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include: one daughter: Donna G. Conn, and a son: Michael (Rebecca) Green both of Burgin, one sister: Sue (Darrell) Bottom of Harrodsburg, and two brothers: Joe (Ann) Greene of Harrodsburg, and Richard Green of AL; Grandchildren: Paul (Mona) Green, Keisha (Bobby) Hall, and Jarrod Conn; seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Monday, July 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Carl McCray with burial in the Burgin Memorial Garden, with military rites.
Pallbearers are: Richard Green, Randy Green, Paul Green, Jarrod Conn, Kevin Corman, Bobby Edwards. Honorary bearers: Joe Greene, Richard Green, Frank Corman, Sue and Darrell Bottom, A. J. Green, David C. Taylor, Chris Underwood, Frank Edwards.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 3 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
