Obituary of Russell C. Lester

Russell C. Lester, 77, Danville, widower of Margaret Jenkins Lester, died Monday, September 12, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born July 15, 1934 in Boyle County, he was the son of the late Edward A. and Margaret Jewell (Milburn) Lester. He was a Corning Glass Ribbon Machine Operator and a member of the Ellers Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Gloria Jean (Terry) Browning of Lexington; and a son: Russell Dale (Cheryl) Lester of Harrodsburg; a brother, J.L. (Mildred) Lester of Villages, FL; a sister, Anna Lou (Marvin) Carpenter, Danville; Four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 15 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Ed Carpenter, Henry Peavler, Eddie Long, Dallas Estes, Tony Pinkston and Jesse Thomas.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Ellers Memorial Baptist Church or Heritage Hospice.
