Lou Will Satterly Barnett, age 90, Harrodsburg, widow of Jessie Burnice Barnett, joined her precious Lord in Heaven on Friday, September 16, 2011. Born October 18, 1920 in Willisburg, she was the daughter of the late W.O. and Lora Dennis Satterly. She retired after thirty years as an educator. She was also a life-long member of Bethel Baptist Church where she had been a Young Couples Sunday School Teacher, choir member, Training Union Leader, Bible School Teacher and WMU leader. She was also a member of the Mercer County Retired Teachers' Association and a lifetime member of the Kentucky Extension Homemakers. To cherish her memory, she leaves two daughters: Pamela (David) Moberly of Harrodsburg, and Loralee (Pat) Coe of Shelbyville; two sons: Willis Garvin "Garvey" Barnett of Willisburg, and Kirtley "Kirt" (Lisa) Barnett of Harrodsburg, grandchildren: "Willis" Kendall (Julie Denise) Barnett; "Casee Keeler (Tonya) Barnett; "Jerrod" (Stefanie) Elam; Callee "Cal" (Sarah) Elam; "Tara" (Brian) Andre'; Alicia "Jordon" (Kris) Klein; "Jessika" Coe; great grandchildren: "Zhane" Patrick Elam; William Jessie Lee "Will" Elam; Camden Kristopher Klein; "Casey" Alexandra Galbreath; Ashley "Cheyenne" Elam; Kendall Denise Barnett; Mahala Rene' Andre'; Mattie Liberty Andre'; Cailee Wynne Klein. She is preceded in death by a grandson, "Jessie" Burnice Barnett, a sister, Ottie Hayes, brothers, Otto (Sallie), W,G, (Leila), and J.B., and Denny Satterly, brothers-in-law, Willis, O'Rear, and Homer (Nila) Barnett, Marvin Yates, Raymond Roster, sisters-in-law, Vivian (Marvin) Anderson, Eula (Pat) Patmore, and three nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 PM, Monday, September 19 at the Bethel Baptist Church, Brad King and Lester Tirey officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18 from 6-9pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and after 10 am Monday at the Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideon Memorial Bible Fund or Heritage Hospice.
