Ethel Russell, age 93, Frankfort, formerly of Harrodsburg, widow of Woodrow (Woody) Russell, died Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Ctr.Born March 21, 1918 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Flora Boswell Isham. She was a homemaker and member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church.Survivors include: one daughter: Janice (Joe) Mefford of Frankfort, Daughter-in-law, Diann Russell of Sandy Hook, VA; six Grandchildren: Kim (Scott) Shannon of Frankfort, Ann Robin (Billy) Dunaway of Harrodsburg, Dale Trayner of Virginia Beach, VA; Brad (Valeria) Mefford of Frankfort, Brian (Allison) Mefford of Bowling Green, Brent (Rachel) Mefford of Lexington, Ten Great Grandchidren, two Step Grandsons, one Step Great Grandson, three Great Great Grandchidren. She was predeceased by a son: Robert "R. C." Russell and a daughter and son-in-law: Norma Jean and Sherman Trayner. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Todd Lester and Ronnie McKinney. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.Pallbearers are: Dale Trayner, Brad Mefford, Brian Mefford, Brent Mefford, Cody Mefford, Brandon Sutton, and Matt Osborne. Visitation will be Thursday, October 27 after 12 noon at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
