Obituary of Eileen Joyce Phillips

Eileen Joyce Phillips, age 86, 162 Castle Heights, Harrodsburg, widow of Ralph B. Phillips, died Friday, December 2, 2011, at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY. Born November 16, 1925 in Lanchas, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Nellie (Howard) Joyce. She was a (retired) homemaker. Survivors include: four daughters, Elaine Logue, Brenda Sims, Pam Sexton, and Nancy Stratton, all of Harrodsburg; one son, Michael B. Phillips of Lexington, KY; four sisters, Margaret Joyce, Anne Smith, Evelyn Oneil, all of England, and Susan Doering of Alaska; three brothers, Richard, Robert And William Joyce, all of England; 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Lowe. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Michael Phillips II with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Brian Sims, Brennan Sexton, McKinley Stratton, Terry Taylor, Meredith Sims, Deidra Williams, Pansy Coffman, Brandy Lewis, John Phillips, Michael Phillips, II, and Michael Taylor. Honorary bearers are George Hensley and Clyde Sims, Kenny Stratton, J. T. Logue, Matthew Sims, Russell Sims, Brayden Sims, Lee Williams, Jonathan Coffman, Logan Lewis, Mikaya Taylor, Von Taylor, Barran Sexton, Kasen Sexton, Gracie Carroll, Alyssa Phillips, Victoria Phillips, and Addyson Williams. Visitation will be Saturday, December 3 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Memorial contributions may be sent to Haggin Memorial Extened Care.
