Obituary of Donald Glendon Guthrie

Donald Glendon Guthrie, age 84, Harrodsburg, died Friday, December 9, 2011, after an illness. He was the widower of Juanita Clark and Kitty Jenkins Guthrie. Born May 10, 1927 in Monticello, KY, he was the son of the late Glendon and Cora Farmer Guthrie. He and his second wife Kitty owned and operated the Bus Station in Harrodsburg for several years. He was a retired construction supervisor and enjoyed wood working as a hobby. Survivors include: two daughters: Connie (Jim) Campbell of Anderson, IN, Clara Hoots of New Castle, IN; and two sons: Donald (Connie) Guthrie of Marion, IN, Douglas L. Guthrie of Harrodsburg, a Son-in-Law: Tom Jones of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He is predeceased by a daughter: Deborah G. Jones. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 14 at the South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, IN. Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Baptist Church (Beyond Measure Campaign), 312 S. Main St., Harrodsburg, KY 40330. Ransdell Funeral Chapel in charge of local arrangements.
