Fredrick Hugh Holland, 92, Harrodsburg, husband of Margaret Sharpton Holland, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, at his home in Harrodsburg.
Born December 13, 1919 in Gadsden, AL, to the late Burl Camp and Margaret (Barron) Holland. Fred served in Pattons Army during World War II and was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: his wife: Margaret (Sharpton) Holland two daughters: Kathy (Jay) Shewmaker of Harrodsburg and Frieda (Mark) Gegert of Danville, KY; Four Grandchildren: Olivia Shewmaker, Erin Shewmaker Hughes, Phillip Carlisle and Morgan Gegert; One Great Grandchild: Ansley Grace Hughes.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, January 22 at the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church by Ken Klemme. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Ken Nilsson, Howard Nichols, David Shewmaker, Phillip Carlisle, Morgan Gebert and John Moffett.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 21 from 5-8pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
