John VanBever Landrum, age 52, Harrodsburg, husband of Joy May Watts Landrum, died Friday, March 30, 2012. Born September 18, 1959 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of John W. and Vivian VanBever Landrum of Harrodsburg. He was a farmer and member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church where he had served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He attended the school of Agriculture at Eastern Kentucky State University and was a member of the Mercer Cattlemen's Association. Other survivors include: three children: Sara Catherine Landrum, Alex VanBever Landrum and Eli William Landrum; a brother: William Bibb Landrum of Los Angeles, CA. A celebration of Van's Life will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at the Immanuel Baptist Church by Ken Klemme and Dr. Harold Best . Burial will be in the Burgin Memorial Garden on Buster Pike. Pallbearers are: Gordon Hensley, Michael Watts, Austin Myers, Ty Van Myers, Thomas Tye, Chris Watts, Tom Baughman, Eddie Horn, and John White. Honorary Bearers: Bobby Watts, Donald Ray Baker, Josh Horn, Dennis Wade, Connie Mink, Jimmy Patterson, Jeff Rion, Bill Wheeler, Coy Coffman and Brent Combs. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3 after 5:00 PM at the Church. Memorial contributions may be sent to Central Kentucky Christian School, 1501 Danville Rd., Harrodsburg, KY 40330 or Mercer County FFA Chapter, C/O Mercer County Senior High School, 1124 Moberly Rd., Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
