Obituary of Ann Dawson Morris

Ann Dawson Morris, age 84, Salvisa, wife of Ralph Lyen Morris, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Ctr., Frankfort, KY. Born May 23, 1927 in Anderson Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late C.C. and Ada (Mizner) Dawson. She was a homemaker and former substitute mail carrier, a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church, and had served many years as secretary of the Wingo Sunday School Class. Survivors other than her husband include: two children, Jane Ransdell and Joe (Joy) Morris, both of Salvisa, KY; one sister: Wilma (Lonnie) Thompson, Salvisa, KY; one brother, Charles Allen (Barbara) Dawson, Greenville, TN; four grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Libby Ransdell, Jessica Williamson, and Julia Soard; six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thurs., April 19, 2012, at the Salvisa Baptist Church by Rev. Chris Brown with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are Jimmy Johnson, Mitch Whittle, Art Hembree, Danny Brock, Jack Garriott, Larry Trisler, Larry Boswell, and Frank Ransdell. Honorary bearers are the Ordained Men Of Salvisa Baptist Church and the Co'ed 3 Sunday School Class. Visitation will be 4-9 PM Wed. at the church.
