Gertrude M. Phillips, age 87, Harrodsburg, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at the Central Baptist Hospital, Lexington, KY.
Born May 2, 1924 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Sadie Rogers Riley. She was a retired cook from Beaumont Inn.
Survivors include: one daughter: Shirley (Charles) Wheeler of Harrodsburg, and two sons: Clarence (Rita) Phillips of Harrodsburg, and David W. (Rosie) Phillips, Jr. of Burgin, grandchildren: Lavon (Travis) Land, and Charles "C. D." Wheeler; several step grandchildren & step great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister: Adorine Tindall and three brothers: Wilburn, Hillary, and Bruce Riley.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Visitation will be Monday, April 30 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Mercer Senior Citizens.
