Geneva Graham (Lay) Sanders, 98, Harrodsburg, KY, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at home. Born June 14, 1917, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Marvin G. and Rebecca (Graham) Lay. She was the widow of Shively Sanders, member of the Adult Women's Sunday School Class and was the oldest member of the Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter: Linda (Bobby) Christerson of Harrodsburg, one brother: John Lay of Danville, granddaughters: Janet Buckner and Sharon (Greg) Sawyer of Harrodsburg, great grandchildren: Tyler (Caitlin) Sawyer and Colin Buckner; Caregiver: Millie Moore; Nurse, Gay Sims; she was predeceased by granddaughter: Debra Lynn Christerson and grandson In-Law, Mark Buckner, three sisters: Virginia Yeager, Jewell Boswell and Shirleen Yates. Funeral services 2 PM, Monday; April 25, 2016 at the Bethel Baptist Church. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Sunday and 7:30 AM Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers: Spencer Tatum, Lee Todd Pinkston, Penny Derringer, Brennan Boswell, Garnie Yeager, Kelly Bugg, Curtis Sherrow. Honorary bearers: Members Of her S.S. Class . Memorials are suggested to: Bethel Baptist Building Fund or Gideon Bible Fund.
