Obituary of David Bradley Long

David Bradley Long, 72, husband of Gladys Marie Hamlin Long, died Monday, June 6, 2016, at the St. Joseph Hospital, London, KY.
Born August 13, 1943, in Mercer Co., he was the son of the late George Bradley and Jesse Lee (Norton) Long. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Elmo Greer & Sons, was a member of the United Steel Workers of America and the Mt. Hebron Methodist Church, and had attended the Philpot Baptist Chapel.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Melinda Long (Joe) Darby of Atlanta, GA; one son, Keith (Linda) Long of London; two sisters, Arnetta (Jim) Hendren of Louisville, and Norene Baker of Harrodsburg; one grandchild, Bradley Lee Long. David was preceeded in death by five siblings: Betty Jo Barnes, Boyd Long, Bobby Long, Melvin Long and Jess Long.
Funeral services will be 1PM Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Allen and Johnny Hockersmith. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
