Sidney Craig Yocum, 65, Harrodsburg, father of Cindy Sims and widower of Betty Robinson Yocum, died Monday at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Sidney was born April 6,1951, in Harrodsburg, KY to the late Charles and Bessie (Sires) Yocum. He worked as a Tire Changer for S & S Giant Tire Company in Nicholasville.
Sidney is survived by: two daughters: Cindy G. Sims of Harrodsburg, and Dena Cornish of Lawrenceburg, one brother: C.J. (Janet) Yocum of Rochester, IN, two grandsons, Matthew Clyde Sims and Russell Scott Sims; one great grandson, Foster Thomas Sims. Sidney was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy Eugenia Rogers, Nancy Yocum and Betsy Logue.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday; September 29 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Graveside service will be 11 am Friday at Ebenezer Cemetery by Rick Bolton. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
