Obituary of Randall D. Sanders

Randall D. Sanders, 92, Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Mary Lois Perry Sanders, died Sunday at the Thomson Hood V.A. Center, Wilmore. Born June 22,1924, in Mercer County, to the late Erastus "Ras" and Nanna Lou (Yates) Sanders. Randall was a retired Ironworker, and lifelong Farmer and Entrepreneur. He was a member and past President of the Harrodsburg Lions Club and a member of the Lexington Board of Realtors. Randall is survived by: two sons: Michael Barry Sanders of Harrodsburg, KY and Randall Perry Sanders of TX,, three granddaughters; Chelsea (Cory) Sanders, Sara E. Sanders of Georgetown, KY and Kate Sanders of Frankfort, KY; several nieces & nephews. Randall was preceded in death by his brother, Grover Sanders, and two sisters, Maybelle Carter and Billie Sanders Gritton. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Friday; October 21 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. Pallbearers will be: Leonard Kelsay, Billy Mac Gritton, Zenah Teater, Gene Laferty, John Sanders and Mac Sanders. Honorary Bearers will be: Sam Wheat, Marvin Hall, Jeremy Coy and Jeff Coy. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mike Conover and Gene Laferty. Burial, with military rites will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
