James W. Carmickle, 76, Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Sandy Carmickle, died Tuesday at his home in Harrodsburg. Born November 8, 1940, in Mercer County, to the late Bowen and Edna (Darland) Carmickle. He retired as a auto body repairman at Stuart Powell Ford.
James is survived by: his wife: Sandra Jean (Murphy) Carmickle and a son: Jimmy Carmickle of Harrodsburg, two sisters: Betty Smith of Harrodsburg, Henrietta Goins of Frankfort, two brothers: Bill Carmickle and Bowen Edward Carmickle of Lawrenceburg, KY and several nieces & nephews. James was preceded in death by a sister, Evalena Carmickle,
Visitation will be 10-1pm Saturday; December 31 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, conducted by Leonard Price. Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
