Obituary of Vena Sims

~~Vena F. Sims, 93, Willisburg, KY, widow of Harold King Sims, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY. Born Aug. 2, 1924, in Springfield, KY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and  Ophia Thompson Stine.
She was a  member of the Willisburg Church of Christ and a longtime member of the Grapevine Christian Church .
Vena is survived by: one sister: Margie (Joe) Coulter of Springfield, and one brother: Billy (Doris) Stine of Harrodsburg, sister-in-law, Ruby Stine, several nieces and nephews, Vena was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Stine, half brother, Truman Stine, and a sister, Naomi Riley.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec.11, 2017 from 5 - 8 PM at Ransdell Funeral Chapel,  Harrodsburg, KY. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Claude Waldridge, with burial to follow in the Willisburg Cemetery, Willisburg, KY . Pallbearers will be: Josh Coulter, Paul Shelton, Larry Shelton, David McCullough, Johnny Dickerson and David Smith.
