James Goldman “Jim” Hogue, 78, Harrodsburg, husband of Judy Bisnett Hogue, died Friday, June 2, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born June 13, 1944, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James Edward and Edna (Patterson) Hogue. Jim was a retired Captain for Lexington Police Department; he was also a Navy Veteran and retired Navy Reservist. He was a member of St. Phillips Episcopal Church, in Harrodsburg and very active in the Masonic Lodge # 777 F & AM, Eastern Star Chapter 309, Worthy Grand Patron 2016-2017 for the state of Kentucky, Grand High Priest, 2001-2002, Grand Commander, Grand Chapter Council, Oleika Shrine Temple (Lexington), York Rite, 32 Degree Mason, Knights Templar, Wilderness Shrine, Oriental Band and the KCCH Scottish Rite. Other survivors include: two daughters: Lori Ann (Mike) Burke and Heather (Wayne) Tudor; a son: Ken James; sister: Carolyn Hogue; Twelve Grandchildren; Nine Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces & Nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM; Saturday, June 10, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, by Father Jim Winborn. A Masonic Service and Order of the Eastern Star Service will immediately precede the memorial service. Visitation will be 10 am - 2 pm Saturday also at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. The family asked that instead of flowers, make donations to the Masonic Lodge, Eastern star or the Rob Morris Home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com.
