Ruth Esther Turner Brown, wife of the late Donald Bruce Brown passed away September 23, 2023 at home. Born September 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ernest & Bertha (Carter) Turner. She was fostered & raised by the late Uriah & Mary (Duncan) Dunn. She was a graduate of Burgin High School in 1956; graduated Good Samaritan Nursing School in 1957; was a member of Burgin Christian Church, & attended Burgin Methodist Church for many years. Ruth enjoyed spending time by her pool with family & was a UK basketball fan. Survivors include: three daughters, Mary Janet Brown, Donna Ruth Brown, and Lynda (Brian) Campbell; six grandchildren: Daniel (Heather) Sims, Ashley (Jason) Crowley, Clay (Laura) Westerfield, Casie (Taylor) Westerfield, Hannah (Ronald) Kerr, & Frank )Alexandra) Kyle; seven great-grandchildren, Aidan & Ember Crowley, Evan & Alexis Westerfield, Emmett Kerr, Easton Sims,& Lanie Humphrey. She was preceded in death by siblings, Harber, Everett, Elizabeth, Beulah, Margaret, Ralph, Mary, William, Robert, Marion, Helen, & Jerre. Graveside services will be held at Burgin Memorial Gardens, 4pm Monday; September 25. Honorary Pallbearers: Jason Crowley, Ronald Kerr, Allen & Brian Roberts, Brad Gilvin, Robert Williams, GT Shannon, Mike Turner. Memorials are suggested to Burgin Fire Department or Heritage Hospice.
