Tracy Gay Hume, 61, Danville, KY, mother of Greg Hume, died Friday, January 26, 2024, at her home. She was born July 3, 1962, in Columbia City; IN. Tracy was the daughter of Betty Cox and the late Charles Cox. She was an employee for Corning Glass Manufacturing and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Tracy loved spending time with her grandkids and enjoyed watching NASCAR; especially Rusty Wallace. Survivors include: One son: Gregory Thomas Hume; Three grandchildren Adison Grace Hume, Benjamin Alan Hume and Gregory Thomas Hume Jr. Two sisters: Betty Smock and Linda Tarter and one brother: Jerry Cox; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held at Ransdell Funeral Chapel at 1:00pm Monday; January 29, 2024, officiated by James Harley. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will be 11am - 1pm Monday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel. Pallbearers are: Lewis Clark, Kevin Smock Sr., Kevin Smock, Jr., Larry Parker, Bill Parker and Derek Bottoms. Memorials are suggested to Susan G. Komen 13770 Noel Road, Suite 801889, Dallas, TX 75380 and Mercer Relay for Life American Cancer Society P.O. Box 173, Harrodsburg KY 40330.
