Melissa M. Parker, 57, mother of Nathan Parker, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. Born February 9, 1967, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Marvin Thomas Dearing and the late Marion Lee (Devine) Million. She had worked at Corning Inc. and was a member of the Magnolia Christian Church. Survivors include: one son: Nathan (Holly) Parker of Harrodsburg, KY; her father Marvin Thomas Dearing; one sister: Kim Gorham; she also has an Aunt, Denise Spencer; Cousins: Sherri Bugg, Mandy Taylor and Jessica Huffman; a Niece, Jennifer Pittman and a Great Niece, Alyssa Pittman. Melissa is preceded in death by her grandparents Jessie and Edith Dearing and stepfather, Ronnie Million. Funeral services will be conducted by Trent Baker Monday, February 19 at 1 pm. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg, KY. Visitation will begin at 11 am and lead up to the service at 1 pm Monday. Pallbearers: Blair Pittman, Blake Hendren, Brandon Hine, Nicholas Bottom, Keegan Bottom and Nathan Parker. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com. Memorial donations can be sent to the charity of your choosing.
