Obituary of Wayne Hambright

Wayne Hambright, age 80, of Lawrenceburg died Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, KY. Wayne was born June 28, 1943 in Blacksburg, SC to the late Davis and Virgie Hambright. He was a retired Social Worker for the Common Wealth of Kentucky. Wayne enjoyed writing, going to the park and spending as much time with his Great Great Grandbabies as he could. He is survived by; four grandchildren; Melissa (Terry) Moore, Josh (Gina) Poole, Tammy (Chris) Poole and Tiffany (Tony) Downs; six great-grandchildren; Andrew Poole, Timothy Moore, Megan Moore, Kaleb Poole, Kaitlynn Cox and Cameron Moore; three great great Grandchildren; Ava Moore, Kensley Moore and Emery Moore. Three sisters; Eloise H. Hambright, Nancy H. Allison and Janice (Glenn) Bolin, and one brother: Keith (Lisa) Hambright. He was preceded in death by his Son, Tim Downs, and Brother, Teddy Hambright. Visitation will be at Ransdell Funeral Chapel Friday; March 1, 2024 from 4pm-8pm. Committal services will be held in Blacksburg South Carolina under the care of Whites Columns Funeral Service.
