Joseph Dean Greene, age 94, of Harrodsburg, KY, widower of Ann Harmon Greene, died Thursday, April 11, 2024 at The Willows at Harrodsburg. Born October 11, 1929, in Burgin, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest W. and Dixie (Warren) Greene. Joe was a retired Production Superintendent for Corning Inc. and was a longtime fishing guide on Weiss Lake in Alabama. He was a Sergeant is the US Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include: one daughter, Sandy Greene of Harrodsburg, KY; one son, Jody Greene of Harrodsburg, KY; one sister, Sue (Darrell) Bottom of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother: Richard Greene of AL; two grandchildren, Carrie (Brian) Noel Sallee of LaGrange, KY, and Christopher Noel of Austin, TX; three great grandchildren, Kya Yeast, Brianna & Ethan Sallee. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY, with Chadwick Noel officiating. A private burial will follow. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th from 11AM - 1PM, Ransdell Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, family request that memorials be made to Weiss Lake Improvement Association, PO Box 565, Centre, Al 35960.
