Obituary of John Craig Burton

JOHN CRAIG BURTON John Craig Burton, age 63, husband of Patsy Durr Burton, 180 West Mason Street, Danville died Saturday, August 16th at his residence. Born July 10, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana he was the son of John M. Burton, Harrodsburg and the late Velma Clifford Burton. He was a retired machine operator for General Cable in Lawrenceburg and a member of the Danville Church of the Nazarene. Survivors other than his father and wife include a son, Jonathan Keith Burton, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Glave Vivion Burton, Harrodsburg and Donald Wayne Burton, Hustonville; one grandchild, Jonathan F. Burton, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother James Edward Burton. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, August 18th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Mark East and Gary Story. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Mercer County. Visitation will be from 5 until 8:00 PM Sunday and prior to the service on Monday at the chapel. Memorials are suggested to Heritage Hospice of Danville. Pallbearers are Eddie Burton, Doodle Coontz, Ricky Keller, David Peavler, Frank Preston, Jack Preston, Paul Preston, Jr., and Winston Preston.
