ROBERT C. “BOBBY” LEONARD Robert C. “Bobby” Leonard, age 76, 1175 Highway 127 North, Stanford, widower of Delores Raiza Leonard died Friday, November 14, 2003 at the Veterans Affairs Department of Medical Care – Cooper Drive Division in Lexington. Born February 13, 1927 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Carl Leonard, Sr. and Bess Opal Demaree Leonard. He was a retired L & M Tobacco Co. buyer and a farmer, a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, member of the Masonic Lodge, the Oleika Shrine Temple, and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Survivors include: one son, Sleet Leonard, Danville; three daughters, Gayle Miller, Brandon, Mississippi, Carla and Cecilia Leonard, both Harrodsburg; one brother, Carl Leonard, Jr., Harrodsburg and five grandchildren Beth Spivey, John Miller, III, Taylor Leonard, Holly Leonard, Kyle Leonard.. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, November 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Don Chase. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Allen, John D. Brown, Jack Leonard, John Miller, Jr., Pete Prewitt, Bill Shewmaker, Morris Stewart, and Donnie Tyler. Honorary bearers will be John Miller, III, Forrest Bradshaw, Milton Catlett, Hunter Durr, Phillip Durr, G.G. Harmon, Billy Horn, Buster Young, Clyde Sinkhorn, Bob Tamme, Jess Tamme, Taylor and Kyle Leonard. Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Sunday and after 7:30 am Monday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Harrodsburg Christian Church, or the Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.
