Obituary of Nancy L. Waggener

Nancy L. Waggener, 79, Burgin, wife of Guilford Waggener, died Friday, April 30, 2010 at her home.
Born in Chicago to the late John A. and Elizabeth (Elliott) Mayo. She was a retired teacher for the Burgin Independent Schools and a member of the Burgin Baptist Church where she was the 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, Assistant Clerk and G.A. Leader. Nancy was also a member of the Ann Harrod Department of the Womens Club, Zeta Tau Alpha at the University of Louisville, Kentucky Education Association, National Education Association and Burgin Education Association president.
Survivors include: her husband: Guilford Waggener, three daughters: Mary Anna (Paul) Welch, Jeanette (Steve) Peyton of Harrodsburg and Ruth Elizabeth (Jeff) Loane and one son: William Howard (Lisa) Waggener of Burgin; a sister: Elizabeth M. Blincoe of Park Hills, KY; and a brother: John S. Mayo of Moorhead, KY; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carolyn Waggoner and a sister, Helen Grace Klapheke.
Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, May 4 at the Burgin Baptist Church by Carl McCray. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Joshua Waggoner, Daniel Loane, Jason Peyton, Ryan Welch, Justin Welch, Kelly Peyton and Ericka Waggener. Honorary Bearers are: Jill Bryant, Tonya Hilkle, Ray Welch, Gloria Welch, Zach Welch, Maggie Bryant, Junior Hinkle, Lane French, Levi French and Justin Waggener,
Visitation will be Monday, May 3 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and Tuesday 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the Burgin Baptist Church.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Gideons International.
