John Matthew “Snake” Britton, 69, Burgin, husband of Simonetta "Sam" Britton, died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at his home in Burgin. Born February 13, 1941 in Pulaski County, KY, he was the son of the late Jack and Lina (Dykes) Britton. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Kentucky Utilities maintenance personnel. Survivors include: his wife: Simonetta (Muncie) Britton, two daughters: Tallallea "Tina" Brown of Burgin, Tarena (Mike) Ransdell of Salvisa, two sons: Richard N. Adams of Nicholasville, Anthony (Trish) Britton of Lexington; Ten Grandchildren; Three Great Grandchildren. John was predeceased by his parents and a sister: Margie Ballinger. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 9 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Billy Sanders. Visitation will be Saturday, May 8 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY. A Masonic Service will be at 7:30, Saturday. Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.ransdellfuneralchapel.com
