William Donald McCrosky, age 64, widower of Anita Hale McCrosky, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 at his home in Lebanon after an illness. Born September 13, 1945 in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Thompson and Beatrice (Black) McCrosky. He was retired President and CEO of Peoples Bank Of Lebanon, having spent thirty eight years in the banking business in Central and Eastern Kentucky. He was a member of the Harrodsburg United Methodist Church, a U. K. Fellow, member of the Scoville Society, The Lexington Club, Kentucky Board of Auctioneers, former director of the Bankers Bank of Kentucky. Survivors include: two sons, Matthew Thompson (Renee) McCrosky of Lebanon, Thomas Clay McCrosky of Versailles; three sisters, Kathryn (Hugh) Peavler of Richmond, Jean Wiley of Lexington, Jo Ann Winston of Versailles; one brother, Nelson Cleo (Joyce) Sanders of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, Jacob and Kaitlyn McCrosky; special friend, Julia Cowgill of Lexington. He was predeceased by two brothers, Cecil & William Newton McCrosky. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted 4:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Ken Klemme. Pallbearers are Terry Tatum, Jimmy Thompson, John Manning, John Clark, Ed Purdom, Charles Beach, and C. K. Stacy. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 26 from 1:00 PM - 4:00PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Memorial contributions may be sent to U. K. College of Agriculture or Hosparus Of Central Kentucky, 105 Diecks Ave., Elizabethtown, KY 42701.
