Oscar "Emerson" McRay, age 85, widower of Myrtle Bugg McRay, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Stanford, KY.Born January 7, 1925 in Mercer County he was the son of the late Oscar Elmer and Amanda Black McRay. He served the Army during World War II and was a retired Corning Glass employee. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, VFW and the NRA. Survivors include: three daughters: Rita (Kerry) Anness of Harrodsburg, Dixie Walls and Kathy (Bob) Clark both of Burgin and one son: Gary (Sandy) McRay of Camden, OH; one sister: Naomi Anderson of IN; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchidren, and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 PM, Sunday, June 20 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by John Hockersmith. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.Pallbearers are: Kyle Anness, Rob Clark, Stuart Woods, Andrew Curtsinger, Taylor Darland, Colton Darland, , , , , , Visitation will be Sunday, June 20 from 12 noon until the service at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.Memorial contributions may be sent to Charity of One's choice.
