Marilyn Cleoda Smith, age 83, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville, KY.
Born May 12, 1927 in Insull, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Luther and Myrtle Elizabeth Reed Smith. Survivors include: four sisters: Virginia Louise Kelly of Lexington, Gloria Elizabeth Irby of Satsuma, AL, Joy Birch of Harrodsburg, Marjorie Ann Grout of Knoxville, TN, and two brothers: Alexander Luther Smith Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA, David Smith of Straight Creek, KY, and several nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by a sister: Mary Sue Locke and a half sister: Jennie Jewell, four brothers: Brian E., Robert Bruce, Alfred E. and Beauford R. Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 14 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor and Wayne Spivey. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: David Smith, Kerry Anness, Al Haupt, Byron Asher, Byron D. Asher, Michael Kelly.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14 from 10 am - 12 noon at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Baptist Foundation.
