A. D. VanArsdall, age 79, Harrodsburg, husband of Ima Jean Darland , died Monday, July 12, 2010 at his home.Born February 7, 1925 in Mercer Co., KY, he was the son of the late Alford and Delilah (Vandivier) VanArsdall. He was a retired farmer, an Army veteran of WWII, and attended the Baptist Church. A. D. enjoyed hunting & trapping.Other survivors include: two sisters, Isa Vena League and Viola Rose, both of Harrodsburg, KY; one brother, Paul VanArsdall, Harrodsburg, KY; several nieces and nephews, including Carl (Marlene) VanArsdall and William Carlton Darland Jr., both of Harrodsburg, and Kathy (Don) Meredith of Louisville. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter & Willard VanArsdall.Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. James Harley with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.Pallbearers are Carl & Alford VanArsdall, William Carlton Darland Jr., Willard Hamm, Charles Johnstone, Darrell Waterfield. Honorary Dallas Waterfield, Ricky VanArsdall, Randy Baxter, Guy Bell, Jerry Britton, and Carroll Montgomery.Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14 from 5-8 pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.Memorial contributions may be sent to Heritage Hospice, P.O.
