Velma Owen, age 71, of Salvisa, died Wednesday, July 14, at the Harrodsburg Health Care Center.
Born March 31, 1939 in Owenton, KY, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Viola (Steger) Owen. She retired from the KY Department Of Finance and was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include close friends Linda & John Hockersmith of Salvisa, and several cousins.
Services at 11am Saturday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Johnny Hockersmith III with burial at the Owenton Cemetery, Owenton.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 17 at 9am at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
