LEWIS F. GASH
Lewis Freeman Gash, age 65, 3110 Louisville Road, Harrodsburg, husband of Barbara Jean Cinnamon Gash, died Sunday, December 7, 2003 at the home of his mother-in-law Mrs. Flossie Cinnamon, Talmage-Mayo Road, Harrodsburg, after a long illness.
Born September 1, 1938 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Richard Thomas and Onita Gritton Gash.
He was a retired Production Control Engineer for IBM, Inc. for 33 years, a real estate investor, a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ where he served as song leader for over 30 years.
Survivors other that his wife and mother-in-law, include: two sons, Gregory Trent Gash, Lexington and Todd Ericson Gash, Nashville; one daughter, Misha Babette Gash, Lexington; one brother, William Forrest and his wife Shirley Gash, Mercer County; a sister-in-law, Betty Ann Gash Shewmaker, Lawrenceburg; six sisters, Pauline and her husband R.A. Hanks, Danville, Dorothy Jean and her husband Johnny Simpson, Harrodsburg, Patricia and her husband Bobby Flora, Versailles, Velena and her husband Roy Harley, Lawrenceburg, Brenda and her husband Jimmy Peach, Lawrenceburg, and Judy and her husband James Harley, Harrodsburg; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Richard Thomas Gash, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 10th at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Gary Bagwell, James Hahn, and James Harley. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery
Pallbearers will be Chris Freeman, Tom Day, Mel Farmwald, Todd Thompson, Donnie Pinkston, and Buddy Shirley. Honorary bearers will be Chester Gabhart, Robert Wise, Bruce Parrott, Duane Hall, Art Bradley, Phil House, Rex Payne, Joe Sames, Lloyd Goodlett, Lyman Cox, Ralph Morris, Bob Gay, Franklin Ransdell, Clyde Parsons, Jo Ann Williams, and Jeanette Hendricks.
Visitation will be after 5:00 pm Tuesday and after 7:30 am Wednesday at the chapel.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Heritage Hospice, POB 1213, Danville, KY or to the American Cancer Society, POB 102, Harrodsburg, KY.
