Doris M. Houp, age 75, 712 High St., Harrodsburg, widow of Thomas Charles Houp, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at the her home. Born March 4, 1935 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey C. and Mattie Ruth (Terry) Miley. She was a retired Haggin Memorial Hospital CNA and was a member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church. Survivors include: three daughters, Julie (Marshall) Hockersmith of Salvisa, Laura (Tom) Cooper of Harrodsburg, and Melanie (Paul) Toller of Salvisa; one son, Terry (Margaret) French of Augusta, KY; two sisters, Connie Marsh and Nancy Southard, both of Augusta, KY; two brothers, Billy Miley and Jimmy Miley, both of Augusta, KY; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son, Blake Houp, and a brother, Jack Miley Egan. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Rev. Johnny Hockersmith III. Burial will be in the Sharon Cemetery, Augusta. Pallbearers are: Terry French, Rick Toller, Paul Smith, J. W. Sheppard, Johnny Johnson, and Tom Cooper. Honorary bearers are: Kelly Toller, Kacey Sheppard, Lacy Johnson, Ariel Houp, Aaron Houp, Kathy Toller and great grandchildren Visitation will be Tuesday, August 10 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
