Elsie Freeman, 89, Harrodsburg, widow of Edwin Freeman, died Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born January 21, 1921 in Harrodsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alex and Minnie (Devine) Kirkland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Survivors include: her daughter: Ann Harriet (William) Dedman of Harrodsburg; Grandson, Milward (Kathy) Dedman of Harrodsburg; Granddaughter, Marie Hart (David) Rudder of Lexington; a sister: Martha K. Davis of Harrodsburg; three Great Grandchildren. Elsie was predeceased by two brothers Robert & Tom Kirkland and a sister: Flossie Carpenter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 22 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: David Baker, Tebbs Moore, Joe Stevens, Ward Dedman, Dick Parsons and Michael Simms.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Harrodsburg Baptist Foundation.
