Michael Whitehead, age 55, of Harrodsburg, husband of Sherry Mitchell Whitehead, died Thursday.
Born August 31 in Harlan, KY, he was the son of the late George and Beatrice (Massey) Whitehead. He was married to Sherry Mitchell. He served in the Army. He was a former RR Donnelley employee.
Survivors include: his wife: Sherry(Mitchell) Whitehead, three sons: Michael Travis Whitehead, Andrew Bradley Whitehead and Chad Ryan Whitehead, all of Harrodsburg; three sisters: Patsy (Charles "Tex") Parker, Waco; Georgia Hubbard, London; Tammie Castle, Winchester; and four brothers: Rocky (Paulette) Whitehead, Berea; Frank (Brenda) Whitehead, Clinton Township, MI; Elbert (Dana) Whitehead, Cary, NC; Charlie Whitehead, Kannapolis, NC. Thirty nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Sunday, September 26, by James Harley at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Tommy Hubbard, Johnny Hubbard, Rocky Whitehead, Rocky Whitehead Jr., Frank Whitehead and Billy Crawford.
Visitation will be Saturday 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
