Obituary of Anne W. Nooe

Anne Witherspoon Nooe, 91, widow of Roger Mitchell Nooe, Sr., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 12, 2010 in Ormond Beach, FL at the home of her son, Franklin. Mrs. Nooe celebrated her 91st birthday on November 30th of this year. She was a life-long member of Harrodsburg Christian Church. Anne enjoyed travel during her long and productive life. Anne was the daughter of Martin and Margaret Witherspoon Walker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nooe was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Mitchell Nooe, Sr., grandson, R. Mitchell Nooe, III, and brother Martin Edward Walker. Mrs. Nooe is survived by: three children, Roger M. Nooe Jr. and wife Carol of Knoxville, TN, Julia Anne Nooe, of Asheville, NC and Franklin Witherspoon Nooe and Sue Line of Ormond Beach, FL; six grandchildren, Lindsay Anne Nooe Harrell, M. D. and husband David Harrell, M. D. in Knoxville, Ashley Nooe Castorena in Ormond Beach, Anne Olsen and Mark Olsen in Asheville, Evan Nooe and Darin Nooe in Ormond Beach; and five great-grandchildren, James Matthew, Miriam Virginia, and Madeline Jane Harrell, Thalia Ariana and Mya Illiana Castorena; three nieces, Shirley Walker, Jean Miller and Elizabeth Hulette, and special friends Delmer and Delores Odell. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 27, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. December 28, 2010 in the Harrodsburg Christian Church with Rev. Mark Thompson and Rev. Rollin Tarter officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Delmer Odell, Bill Watts, Tim Bryant, Mark Olsen, Evan Nooe, and Darin Nooe.
