Janet Gilliland, 62, Harrodsburg, wife of Mickey Gilliland, died Thursday, December 22, 2010 at her home.
Born in Mercer County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Davis Hyte and Louise Jones Ashford. She was a former Haggin Hospital employee and a homemaker. Janet was a member of the Benton Baptist Church, where she was treasurer for 20 years, former organist and Sunday School teacher.
Survivors include: her husband: Mickey Gilliland, three daughters: Tracie Jo Gilliland of Harrodsburg, Meredith Elise Sizemore of Perryville, Blythe Lee Gayheart of Versailles; two sisters: Jo Ellen (Don) Horn of Harrodsburg and Yvonne (Steven) Fox of Shelbyville; and a brother: James H. (Ann) Ashford of Harrodsburg; three Granddaughters: Lindsay Barnes, Lauren Barnes and Hannah Sizemore. She was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Ann Logue, earlier this year.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, December 27 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Tim Gray. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Greg Logue, Chad Horn, Derrick Horn, Steven Fox, Andrew Ashford and Ethan Ashford.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 26 from 4-7pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Benton Baptist Church or Gideon Bible Fund.
