Obituary of Marie Pearl Castle

Marie Pearl Castle, age 89, of Lancaster, widow of Warren Harding Castle, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at the Thomson Hood V.A. Ctr., Wilmore, KY.
Born August 15, 1921 in Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Clyde and Nettie Robinson Thomas. She served during World War II in the U. S. Navy, was a retired nurse, and was a member of the Indian Hills Christian Church, Danville.
Survivors include: one son, Thomas (Teresa) Castle of Lancaster; one sister, Sue Reece of PA; one brother, Everett Thomas of TN; three grandchildren, Nicole Marie Castle, Sara Jean (Clay) Slone, and Laura Bea (Chris) Releford; eight great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Pearl Thomas, TN, Antha Thomas, NC and Opal Castle, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 1 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Lance Ladd and Odis Clark. Burial will be in the Mt. Lawn Cemetery, Boone, NC.
Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Tuesday, February 1, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
