Obituary of Dale Wayne Satterly

Dale Wayne Satterly, age 63, Harrodsburg, husband of Joan Milburn Satterly, died Saturday, February 12, 2011 at his home after an illness.
Born September 28, 1947 in Harrodsburg, KY, he was the son of the late John Christopher and Martha Curtsinger Satterly. He served in the U. S. Army Reserve for twenty-seven years. Dale was a former Corning Glass employee and was a Lexmark electronics technician for thirty-one years. He was a member of the Benton Baptist Church where he served as a Trustee. He was also a member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge #777 F&AM, the American Legion Post # 52, Case Collectors Club, the Mercer Fish and Game Club and a Life Member of the NRA.
Other survivors include: a son: James Chris Satterly, a sister: Kim (Raymond) Burton both of Harrodsburg, one grandson: Austin Shea Satterly; Sisters-in-Law, Carolyn (Charlie) Hundley and Marlyn Milburn; two uncles: Truman & Odell Curtsinger; two nieces, two nephews, several cousins, a Special Great Niece: Rylan Childers, and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 1 PM, Thursday, February 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Daniel Wilson and Tim Gray. Burial will be 2:30 pm in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, with military rites.
Pallbearers are: Hobert Cheatham, Marshall Sims Jr., Terry Young, Mike Matherly, Gary Lance and Shawn McGinnis. Honorary Bearers are: The Adult Men's Sunday School Class, Bobby Foster, Michael Cox, Charlie Hunley, Raymond Burton and Jerry Vance.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 16 from 5-8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Benton Baptist Church or One's Favorite Charity.
