Obituary of Gertrude Parson Sheegog

Gertrude Walker Parson Sheegog, 90, formerly of Fairview Ct., Harrodsburg, widow of Robert W. "Bob" Sheegog, died Friday, February 25, 2011. at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville.
Born September 29, 1920, in Mercer Co., she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Dessie Lou Stratton Parson. She was a homemaker and retired R. V. Cablevision employee, a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church, a member of the Harrodsburg Women's Club,
Homemakers Club, Girl Scouts and Cub Scout Leader, and a Kentucky Colonel.
She is survived by: two sons, Richard (Marcia) Sheegog, Nashville, TN, and Tim (Marcia) Sheegog, Danville; a daughter, Bobbe Lou (Martin) Craven, Louisville; six grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Buford Parson, Mae Roberts, Ruby Stem, Mildred Burns, Myrtle Cornelius, Louise Tatum, and Adeline Edwards.
Funeral services will be 1 PM Tuesday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Beth Garrod-Logsdon with burial in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Monday and after 11 AM Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Marty Gargotto, Rob Rogers, Caleb Sheegog, Kelsey Sheegog, Hunter Sheegog, and Justin Sheegog.
Memorials are suggested to the United Presbyterian Church or to the Heritage Hospice, Inc.
