Obituary of James L. "Frog" Raley

James L. Raley, age 73, Harrodsburg, husband of Ruby Steele Raley, died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his home. Born May 17, 1937 in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late John Tolbert and Mary Lane Raley. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and served as a deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a welder & owned and operated a septic business. Other survivors include: one daughter: Elaine (Jeff) Rogers of Harrodsburg, three sisters: Opal Peyton, Brenda Goodlett and Rachel Goodlett all of Harrodsburg, and four brothers: Kenneth Raley of Indianapolis, IN, Harold Goodlett of Harrodsburg, Frank Goodlett of Salvisa, David Goodlett of Harrodsburg, two grandsons: Jeffrey Blake Rogers and Jameson Dekota Rogers; a granddaughter: Alex Huffman. He was predeceased by two brothers: Bill & Donnie Goodlett. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by James Harley and Hillary Claypool. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, with military honors. Pallbearers: Jeff, Blake, and Dekota Rogers, Chris, Harold, Frank, and David Goodlett, Kenneth Raley, Buddy and Clint Steele and Virgil Peyton Visitation will be Monday, March 28 from 5 - 8 PM at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
