Richard James, age 78, Harrodsburg, husband of Daisey Logue James, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born September 28, 1932 in Garrard County to the late James E. and Olive Branch (Conn) James. Richard served in the Navy during the Korean War. He was a retired machinist from Corning Glass and a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church. Survivors include: his wife: Daisey (Logue) James, two daughters: Vicki (Gerald W.) Black of Lexington, Beverly Grace (John David) Faulkner of Boyle County and two sons: Charles Coleman (Shari) James of Camden, SC, John E. (Nora Anne) James of Harrodsburg ; two Step Sons:, Kenneth Michael (Mary Jo) Lewis and Fred Patrick (Tabi) Lewis of Harrodsburg; a Step Daughter, Mary Jo Steele of Nicholasville; Fifteen Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild. He was predeceased by a brother, Howard James. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, June 17 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bobby Logue, Hillary Claypoole and Lewis Walters. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg. Pallbearers are: Charles Coleman James Jr., William Curtis James, Jason Todd James, Clinton Matthew Bugg, John David Faulkner II, Zachary Patrick Lewis, Zane Patterson Lewis and Levi Michael Lewis. Honorary Bearers are: Aaron Steele, Jeff Middaugh and Donald Logue, Visitation will be Thursday, June 16 from 5-8pm at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg. Memorial contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association.
