HELEN DRURY ROBINSON Helen Drury Robinson, 98, formerly of 467 Mooreland Avenue, Harrodsburg, widow of Ben Robinson, died Friday, December 26, 2003 at the Charleston Health Care Center after a long illness. Born September 20, 1905, she was the daughter of the late William M. and Cortie Thompson Drury. She was a retired homemaker and member of the Clay Lick United Methodist Church in Salvisa. Survivors include her son-in-law, Frank Lawson, Harrodsburg; two granddaughters, Paula Lawson Spears, Lawrenceburg and Robin Lawson Shumate, Danville; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Erin Shumate, Danville, and Julia Franklin Cornett, Minot, North Dakota; one great-great grandchild, Brayan Wesley Cornett, Minot, North Dakota. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pauline Robinson Lawson. Funeral services will be conducted 1:30 pm Monday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Bro. Rue Henderson. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wes Shumate, Bill Robinson, Robert Spears, Darrell and David Waterfill, Jennings Burns, and Cecil Riley. Honorary bearers will be Linwood and Gertrude Chilton, Loraine Robinson, Clara Graft, Martha Moore, John Cornett and staff members of the Charleston Health Care Center. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 pm Sunday, December 28th and after 7:30 am Monday at the chapel. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Mercer Co. Humane Society, 896 Moberly Road, Harrodsburg, the Clay Lick United Methodist Church, 225 Clay Lick Church Road, Salvisa, 40372 or to Gideon’s International, Post Office Box 176, Harrodsburg, KY 40330.
