Omega Ruth Pittman, 90, Harrodsburg, wife of Jimmy Bruce Pittman, died Monday, August 22, 2011 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care, Harrodsburg, KY.
Born March 26, 1921 in Lawrenceburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Goldey and America (Childers) West. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.
Survivors include: her husband: Jimmy Bruce Pittman, one daughter: Barbara Howard of UT; one sister: Mildred Belcher of Harrodsburg; Five Grandchildren: Ruth (Jay) Willis, Pam Cully, Ronda Richardson, David (Missy) Tharpe and Randall (Shirley) Richardson; Eight Great Grandchildren; Ashley (Drew) Hammond, Emily Richardson, Meaghan Richardson, Kelly Cully, Phillip Pittman, Mike (Leah) Caudill, Rocky (Jessica) South and Travis Richardson; Six Great Great Grandchildren: Kelei Pittman, Summer & Autumn South, Addie Hammond, Payton Hammond and Jacob Caudill; and Several Nieces & Nephews. Predeceased by a daughter: Edith Bristo, a son: Raymond Howard, two sisters: Louise Hicks and Alpha Haache and a Granddaughter: Rhonda Tharpe.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 24 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Donnie Irvin. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers are: Phillip Pittman, Rocky South, J.W. Willis, David Tharpe, Drew Hammond and Terry Darland.
Visitation will be 11-2 PM, Wednesday, August 24 .
